Merry Christmas to you @Cattivo
Good luck with the shots, the wife just had them done last month, her back is messed up from a car accident years ago. Sorry to say it didn’t help so much... hopefully yours will.

@Galante I went and got the 2 cortisone shots in my lower back yesterday...HOLY SHIT, I feel like I'm 20 years old again!!!!!!!:D the DR. told me he hasn't seen that much inflammation in a persons back in over 25 years that he's been in business...he said he had no idea how I was even able to walk upright! I told him if the shot actually worked I was gonna give him a hug lol...after he stuck the 15 ft needle in my back, he asked if I felt anymore pain...I said no and he ran out of the room!...the nurses outside the room told me he was scared I was gonna hug him and hurt him lol

I actually slept over 4 hours and woke up this morning PAIN FREE!!! If anyone knows back pain it's me...I know your wife must be in a great deal of pain, tell her to give my DR a call to see if he can help her out...DR. Syed S. Rahman, MD 1133 Westchester Ave White Plains, NY 10604 (914)358-9700

Hope this can help her out brother

L4/L5/S1 here for me... been 22+ years since I screwed mine up. Was dealing cards up here at Turning Stone, reached and twisted the wrong way and "POP". Was hunched over, unable to stand upright. Left the table on November 13th, 1995 and never returned. Two years later, went back to school for Construction Management, got my two Associates Degrees (Management and Technology), and started working for an ex-GF's family friend. Settled my case with the Casino in 2000, bought in as a partner in Jan '01. Being doing residential remodeling since.

Tweaked my back again 3 years ago, spasms and jolts going down my legs into my feet. Saw a specialist, told me my L4/L5/S1 didn't have any discs left between them, they'd started to self-fuse together a few years prior, and that having surgery on what had already self-repaired would involve cutting the vertebrae in half, taking them out and opening my sciatic canal from the squished "oval" to the "circle" it should be, then epoxying everything together, with steel rods for support.

Ummmmm...... no. As long as the pain was manageable, no way in Hell would I go through that. Apparently my pain threshold has gotten increasingly higher, because I don't even feel my lower back issues any more. If I feel stiff, a couple visits to my chiropractor and I'm fine for at least a few weeks. I guess I'm extremely lucky that that's all it takes for me, I have the utmost empathy for @Cattivo and @Galante 's wife.

As far as the pain in my feet, I found out shortly after tweaking my back that I was diabetic, and that the majority of my pain was related to that. Pain hasn't been nearly as intense since having my gastric bypass surgery, 85% of the people that have the surgery that have diabetes, the diabetes disappears. Hoping it goes away as I lose more and more weight. Also hoping my arthritis subsides, I actually can't wait to get back to work - only been 10 days, and I'm itching to get something accomplished. Don't know how I'm going to manage 7 more weeks - I'd crawl out of my skin if I was out for months on end.

2 things that flip me out about that post is 1- hearing about a place in White plains. I remember doing a lot there as well as in Elmsford. But #2 is the discussion of serious back pain. That stuff is no joke. It is truly amazing how a person can endure and still function while suffering from ailments in other parts of the body but bad back pain literally put me on my hands and knees. It is truly incredible to find someone with the skills to correct a problem like back pain on that level.

I've been searching for 2 new trucks the past week...after looking at 100's of Escalades for my wife I've come to the conclusion that the new ones are really ugly! I think I'm gonna stick with a 2010-2014...those long tail lights on the 2015 and up are absolutely hideous!

Also, my search for a new(ish) diesel Silverado 2500 is not going very well...unless I drive over 3 hours away, there's nothing but over priced junk around here...I'm starting to consider getting myself an Escalade as well at this point lol
Cummings silverado on the east coast are unicorns. All the ones for sale were plow trucks their whole lives.
