I take it as he meant the HMI unlock is compatible with the other companies phone screen mirror deal.

Another words, those of us who have the HMI unlock can still add the phone deal on through the other company without any issues.

Yea I am hoping it's just a cable. A relatively reasonable cable cause they seem to be charging $699 for phone mirroring!!

You read my mind! $699 is much better. I can drop that other $2400 on my deck addition I've been wanting.

Very cool mod. The price is steap but still well worth it considering all it can do.This would take a below average system with all kinds media limitations to an awsome system with many possibilities.

I am just curious as to what the cable actually is? Lightning to....???

If it is just a an Apple Lightning HDMI adapter with a converter to Composite then that isn't worth $700. Would love some more pics and info.

I just ordered an MHL adapter and an HDMI to composite adapter to attempt to make this work with my Android phone.

I am going to attempt to use the inputs on the back of the console to mirror my phone screen to both my front and rear screens using simple RCA cables hooked to the composite adapter. I will post up results tomorrow night.

Awesome. I am thinking of doing the same with my iPhone. Perhaps even use an old deactivated MiFi to connect an AppleTV and airplay the video
