Does anybody know what GM's intention was with the apparently useless cubby pocket just left of the steering wheel? I was thinking of installing my flux capacitor there, but it's a little too small. Has anybody found a use for it yet?

I mounted a usb in there for my radio. So I can plug my usb stick in and doesn't get hit or in the way.

It's for the nitrous panel you forgot to buy 8e7d1644a15569889b4aa401712e7cd1.jpg

But in all seriousness, the 4wd trucks got their 4x4 switches there, the awd and I believe 2wd trucks got a delete since there's no use for those buttons, and the 01-02 escalade a got a power fold mirror button there.

I've got a 2004 Denali, so that explains it. I do like the nitrous panel. I'll have to see if I can find/fabricate some type of sliding pocket to put in there. It would be a good place for a mini mag light
