Navigation Map Update Disks?

I am looking into buying an update disk for my newly install navigation unit. Looks like they cost $200 which I think is extremely high, other car companies charge $150. My question is does it update anything besides the streets on the map and the points of interest? I guess it is too much to ask for a map quality improvement? I currently have version 4.

Yep ,I think that's all that gets updated. I see them on Ebay once in awhile for about $150...version 7 I think.
