unless you find one or get a commercial vehicle you might just have to swap in a front bench from a silverado/sierra
generally it has always been offered as a option on the lower trims ls/sle

They are hard to find - it took me over a year to get mine.

If you're handy, you can convert any of them to the 9-seat config. The center console comes out and you buy the center jump seat from the dealer, EBay, etc. Nice thing about going this route is you don't have to limit yourself to the lowest trim level. You can get an SLT (or above) and then put in the 9th seat.

@yukon-xl did this conversion to an SLT and can share more details.

Denali trim has different dashboard and heating controls area is more angled compared to SLT, therefore it may not be possible or will need extra work and maybe swapping some parts from SLT. But SLT can be converted, and on a Suburban all trim have same dashboard including High Country.

a front bench from a silverado/sierra is going to be easy to find and cheaper than "buying a new bench"
will bolt right in, there the same for the most part if not identical, heated/cooled seats may require a harness adapter
also if the button configuration on the lower center console is different you should also be able to swap in the lower console from a pickup
not sure how the T2's are configured but generally the swap is not difficult. or has not been in the past, really depends on the overall trim level.

Build it, don’t buy it. There are eBay sellers that specialize in seat swaps and inventory.

You can easily swap a 2-2-3 with power folding 2nd row captains chairs into a 3-3-3 with 2nd row power folding bench.

As Wes stated, if it already has those functions and wiring for heated and/or cooled seats w/ power fold, the same seats in bench configuration are bolt in & harness ready.

Somebody chime in on airbag compatibility pls.

I’ve never seen a bench seat for the front that’s heated and cooled. They’re all cloth non power adjustable non heated so far that I’ve seen. I can’t imagine this swap is as easy as everyone is making it out to be based on that part alone.

The hardest part of these swaps is verifying and unlocking the cross compatibility. It’s all LEGO’s after that.

We added a rear facing, factory fold down 3rd row bench seat to our 02 Audi allroad wagon that was already a unicorn with a 6SP M trans AWD car.

A lot of times it’s as easy as looking at sales brochures online to find trim levels and options. Getting a truck already prewired for goodies is the make or break for adding features later.

There was no way in hell we would have been able to wire in the a/c seats we wanted for our 08 YXL Denali w/ a bench. It was easier to sell n buy an 09 Esky already outfitted with the cooled seats and bolt in a 2nd row heated bench.
