yup TBI. Makes about 350hp and 500tq at the motor.

NICE !!!! :favorites37:

Well I called a local salvage yard today just for the :poop: and ask the guy how much for a 350 5.7L ..... And he tells me $1000 !!!! :wtf2: and it had like 90K on the motor and they didn't know anything else about it....

Than I asked how much for a 5.3L out of a 02 Silverado and he says $500 with less mileage....

Now if a junk yard 350 is worth a grand how much is mine worth froze up? It froze up at an idle so I think it would be re-buildable .....

I think it would be worth the $$$$ and I am also on a tight budget to do this! So a crate is unfortunately out of the question right now! Maybe later down the road, I need the Yukon up and running asap!!!

if your in a tight budget just rebuild yours to a 383.. no screwing with the computer shit or anything. You could get a tune later on that would help that thing scream

Though spot but if I had to do over again I would go to the 6.0 swap my new crate has been a pain to get up and done. I started before J/K and I just got done last week with all the little crap.

Well I've sat here for a while and looking at prices to do a swap and unfortunately I don't have the cash to do that....

I found a 350 reman long block from Advance Auto Parts for $1570 with a 3yr / Unl mileage Warranty ....

That's the way I'm going... I'll post pics when I get started and of the progress, hopefully it'll only take a day or two, a buddy of mine is a mechanic and he said he was gonna help me out!

Just be careful with the advance auto stuff... I had a friend get two trannies from there and they both did not work and the guy said well its your fault because they did not know the shop installing them.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind....

I have one thing that's good, the manager for their commercial accounts I've known for about 8 years... so hopefully that'll help me. He's in charge of 13 stores commercial dept.

So I cross my fingers as I take this journey! LOL

Tell him you want the employee discount its 20 percent or you want the military discount which can be 10 percent to 20 percent....

Its something that will help you on costs.... Its at his discretion if he wants to give it to you so if you know it might help..

Good luck
