With the truck in the air and tranny in neutral everything cold it spins smooth but tcase screeches as it spins. There is some play in the rear end I'm not sure how much is normal. I took a small drive and it ran fine no problems. I put it back in air same thing but the screech was almost gone I put the tcase in 4x4 to see what happens and it just turns the other wheel like it should but there's a very tight spot where I have a very hard time spinning the wheel then it loosens up again is that normal.
Edit
I just did the same thing with my truck and its way easyer to spin and it spins the other wheel backwards. The tahoe spins the drive shaft not the other wheel. I did something dumb but I did it safe lol with them lifted I put them in drive and stopped one wheel with the tahoe it would stop then slam and start spinning when it did this the other wheel would stop for about half a second then start right back. I'm thinking that's limited slip in action but not sure my pickup didn't do the same it just let me stop one wheel and didn't try to get it to move its a 99 2500 if it makes a difference. Next drive I take I will take a temp reading of the rear diff.
Another edit took a drive and it did it a few times I pulled over and set the brake the drive shaft was shaking and the tcase grinding. Did this same thing in reverse as well. Also tried 4x4 low and it try's but won't go
