What did you clean it with? Did you hit it with some paint too?

I think I used a combination of degreaser for the lighter stuff, and brake parts for the built up stuff. I used a small wire brush to scrub. Then I painted with some BBQ pit high heat black paint.

There is a dye that is made for checking for oil leaks. It's put in the oil. Google it.

Good luck.

Try it, uses a black light, clean off real good then put die in and drive. check for leaks

Why do you need dye, its OIL!
