It is Mocha Steel Metallic. Wife and I both love it.

We were getting a little limited on colors, I mean we would have got any color had the price been right, but we were really looking towards the Mocha or Taupe Grey and their aren't many of those out there in our areas once you narrow down some of the trim options. In fact I know that they are not offering some of the color options right now because the pigment for the paint on some colors was coming out of Japan. Storm Grey in the Yukon is one color for sure not available right now.

Anyway, lots of white, black and red out there on the lots. We have red now in our 05 so wanted a change. White and black look real sharp when they are clean, but hard to keep them clean. Like a color that hides the dirt a little better so you don't feel like you have to wash it twice a week.

Hi guys,

Seriously considering a new (or 2010) Tahoe, and reading this thread has me right back where I started, buy new or certified used?! lol.gif

It does seem like the discounts on cert'd 2010 aren't that great, which is why I am thinking 2011. When do the 2012's come out?

Still haven't even done a Tahoe test drive yet, as my old car, ironically, remains mired in the shop. Hopefully this week I can get in one. I honestly don't even know the difference between all the models. Also considering Durango and Grand Cherokee.

One thing bedeviling me is that the last row of seats on Tahoes don't go down flat? suspicious.gif

Bottom line is I think the current Tahoes are the nicest-looking in their class. But definitely not the only reason you buy a vehicle!

Anyway, need a car soon, want an SUV, looking at Tahoes.

I show that the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe goes into production on 8/8/2011. To ensure optimal customer satisfaction, these vehicles will be produced at a pace which guarantees the high quality you've come to expect. While it typically takes 6-8 weeks for vehicles to arrive at dealerships after the start of production, I would suggest staying in touch with your local dealership for a better understanding of the time frame you may expect. There may be certain factors that could possibly affect the arrival date, including quality inspections, availability of certain vehicle options, transport distance and production sequencing.

All of the GM web sites have a “chat now” option that allows you to ask pre-purchase questions to a live agent. They can assist with dealer information, locating vehicles, navigation of the web sites, option and feature availability, as well as incentives. I hope this information helps.

I bought my 2010 Denali new a year ago. Diff between new and a used 2010 with 10k miles (different dealer) was only $3k.

But, I got a really good deal because it was a take it or leave it offer from me. I told them that's all I've got budgeted for a car. I researched their invoice costs on the internet.

They kept counter offering. I kept telling them I loved the car, their price was reasonable but my offer was my limit.... that's it. Finally after 3 weeks they called me and came within $300 of my offer. Sold.

Although it is counterintuitive - I learned this technique in a negotiating seminar I went to: "I'm love your product, I know it is worth what your asking, in fact it is probably worth more, I would even pay more if I had the money, but I can only afford Y dollars...that's all I have..."

It works great in almost any situation. Don't attack their product or their price. Agree it is a fabulous product, you would love to buy it, and it is worth every penny. But....

Amazing what happens when you don't make them defensive. Get them on your side. You would love to pay their asking price .... you just can't...you don't have that much and no you can't really borrow more..that's your limit. So sorry.

Guy had us in stitches. He taught us these techniques and then said that when IBM called him up to negotiate with him on doing the seminar.....they used the exact same technique on him: they would LOVE to pay his going rate...worth every penny, people loved his seminar...but they only had $$ budgeted..so sorry..he did the deal.

I'm glad I bought the Denali. Great car, great ride.
