You might get that impression from the wheels, yes? But I suspect the Hybird would be badged or stripped, as in the past.

Perhaps it's just a new wheel design for 2012?

The running boards and associated molding the go into the fenders also gives the Hybrid impression along with the front bumper cover.

Nope, that's a 2011 Hybrid with a photoshopped hood angle. It's not just the wheels, the front air dam is from the hybrid, the D pillar, and the running boards as well. Trust me, it's a hybrid. :)

Has anyone ever read anything that lists the specific changes they made to the Hybrid? I'm curious. I have recently read about aluminum panels but no one has given me more info on that.

Bmwme,

Are you researching specific model years or just in general?

Thank you,

In general, I'm wondering what GM changed between the regular Tahoe and the Hybrid...besides the obvious engine, generator, batteries.

This is a complete thread jack. Sorry to the OP, I should probably start a thread.

Very interesting information in there! It makes me wonder why they didn't or haven't incoporated some of the aerodynamic changes to the regular tahoe. I'd be intersted to see if the LED tail lights would work on a regular Tahoe, and the aluminum hood interests me, but I'm sure that's big $$.

The one part I've never heard about but I want to learn more is the air compressor!

"Additional mass was eliminated by adapting a tire inflator kit that takes the place of the spare wheel and tire, hoist mechanism, jack and tools found on gasoline-only models. straightforward to use, the tire inflator kit is conveniently located behind the left-rear quarter trim panel within the cargo space."

I want this! I asked about this in another thread but didn't get much of a resonse. My buddy's Trail Blazer SS has a tire inflator in the rear and we use it to fill up our race car's tires. I want one in my 'Hoe! It has every other option, why not. haha
