well in the myst of moving somehow my audiopipe aqx3500.1 grew legs and stepped off...
insurance company took care of me now im looking for a new amp...
got a great offer for a 4k2d for 600... might bite the bullet and get it... 5900rms at 14.4 at 2ohm.

i want at least 5000rms and only want 1 amp vs strapping 2.
gonna power my 2 beautiful beast "DC Lvl4xl 15s"
(box in the middle of build right now )

what ideas do you guys have????

spend more! lol i run memphis mojo 4kws and i couldn't be happier, and they run 16v without modification, are bridgeable. and now look awesome, and can be easily modded to hit over 5000+. worth every dollar. just my .02

jlw7 are nice but mojos beat em out anyday. lol. your underpowering those L7s. put at least 1000 a peice. max 2000 i ran my 2 L7s off my 4kw, and they pounded.

i wouldnt be spending more. i can get a mojo for 550. but a mojo vs a 4k2d isnt really fair the 4k2d is a much stronger amp and 2x smaller too. a mojo is rated at 14.4 where as the 4k2d is rated at 12.6 (battery power)...
give either 16volts and yea they sh*t out power but the mojo wont come close to the same amount of power unless its at 18v and id never run a mojo at 18v daily.. hell i really wouldnt do it in a burp setup... 16 but nothing over 16

W7 vs Lvl4xl... no contest
W7 vs mojo, mojo's get louder but the W7 will SOUND better and perform better sealed. but to hell with W7's, thats how i feel

called a few ppl i know and had an offer for a Stetsom 7K2E for $900 but its TOO much power for what i need daily.
7200rms @ 12.6 but at 13.8 puts out 9700rms... thats why i was gonna go with the 4k2d or e...

get paid this friday, probably gonna go ahead and bite the bullet and get the 4k2e or the 5k2e and just turn the gains down if i go with the 5k2e (5700rms at 12.6v, 6850 at 13.8)

Rusty told me the subs will handle 3-3500rms each daily no problem...if they ever need a recone i'll probably pay the difference for 2 lvl5 15s or 18s.

well i said 4kw cuz you speak of money as an issue. i really run Mc1.4000D which is better than 4kws. and ive seen them hit 7200 RMS on 16v. and 4850 on 12v. im not familiar what amp your referring to, but as far as size yes they are massive. but shit thats irrelevant. you have a SUV LOL. i mean MSRP is 1600. dealer is 1200+shipping. the arent cheap or small. but they pound. i dont think about $$ when it comes to my setup. so that variable doesnt mean much.

and they will burp all day at 18v, you can drop them to .5 ohm, even .25 for burps, im sorry. theyre a tough amp to beat. LOL i dont know many if any that can. but whatever works for you thats cool. im just saying to me its the best ive had, and i dont plan on changing and id recommend them.

12"???? the 15" r rated 1000rms...

the 12" r rated 750 rms (which is actually a sealed enclosure rating)...and 600rms for ported enclosure.

Those t1500 amps have birth sheets of a little over 1850 rms so I believe Ill b good. my desire to upgrade comes & goes, I just want sum sounds now!! Iv been rydin without beat for almost 2 months now!

those numbers dont sound right at all for the fact that the birthsheet i looked at just a few hours ago showed 4268@1ohm off 14.4 volts... so there's no way in hell it could put out 4800+ off 12v
i've known them to be benchmarked at 6500rms at .5ohm at 16v

i can get them cheap b/c a friend of mine is a distributor, he just told me $600 which is going price on them used lol
for the LIST price they can easly be beat though imo...

i gotta call rusty and see what he thinks about running a 7k2E b/c the guy really wants to sell the amp cuz his car is about to be repo'd. dropped the price to $800 cash... but thats a true 10,000 watt RMS amp... i'd need to jump up to 2 lvl5 18's to hold that daily or just keep the gains low....

I'm running a JLw7 12 in JL's ** box on a JL 1000/1 and I 2nd putting 1000rms to it. the ** box is ported and 600rms would make it sound underpowered. My setup is just clean and loud sound. Jus speaking from experience not magazine racing or anything. Its enough to shake the Hoe and DTP if you know what I mean. prob with JL is its $1 a watt lol.
