Great looking truck. Getting to know mine was a revelation too.
Again congrats. Shame on the snafu but glad that your daughter didn't get banged with the door.

Got my chrome grille and mud guards today. I'm sorry I don't have the pictures promised...I was working past dark, and now it's raining..of course. I will get them as soon as we have sun shining again.
I'll tell you what...with the black....the chrome looks really nice. And as much as I like the Denali's...(and no offense to Denali owners...they're beautiful trucks, and would've been my first choice if I wasn't on a budget)....but this grille is different...and it's probably the first time I've seen it on an SLT...so while the Denali grille is common...this one is quite a bit different. And I dig that!
I'm diggin the mud guards too...My side window visors are on the way, and I think I'm gonna do some nice chrome covers over the mirrors.
Let me ask....anyone know anything about those chrome mirror (covers?)...right on the GMC site? I guess my question is, are they just press on...or is there more to the install? They're certainly not very expensive...I think the set is 100 bucks..or just over that. I can't imagine they would be all that complicated...but I don't want to assume.

Yeah...as you can see...I tend to get bit by the bug when I buy new toys...much to the fun police's dismay. I have a 2006 HD Wide Glide that I've probably dumped a college education's worth of $ into. Then there's the guitar collection in my living room. You know what...I work for it, and you only live once!

Pics soon..I promise!

Can't wait to see this grille. :)

And I'm not sure if the oem mirror caps replace the plastic ones or if they just stick on with 3M tape ... But it's one or the other.

You bet...it's a 2008 335 twin turbo...(can't believe it's 4 years old)...only about 38K miles on it...I think.
Here's a couple pics I took when we first got it. Since then, minor mods...small OEM spoiler was put on a week later...did some light tint on all windows a few months later...and my favorite thing of all is the short throw shifter I had installed about a year in...You can't believe how great the 6 speed is in this car...add a short throw shifter..."the ultimate driving machine"...aint no joke.

Anyway...here you go...

Nice love that color interior. His is an 08 too white with black interior. Do all 335i come with twin turbo? Because I was looking at some and some say twin turbo and others don't. dont know if they just dont add the turbo in the listings or if some come with or without.

Wow nice 335! The interior is awesome. The chrome mirror tops are attached with 3M adhesive and I think its liquid cement. I got mine on ebay for around $50. I can shoot you the seller or link if you want. It was very easy to install. Pretty hard to screw it up. If you look around you can find better deals than $100 but that seemed to be the going rate for them. Only thing I don't like about mine is that they don't sit flush with the mirror so they will stick out slightly. Honestly, when I get the funds, I'm going to get the Esky mirrors. They took ten times better and look more OEM than what I have. No one notices they don't sit flush but I can tell and I'm sure anyone that took a close look would notice too. You should look into a Black Bear tune. It'll wake your truck up right away and you'll get more out of your 5.3L.

thanks for the compliments. I worked pretty ******* getting that 335 right...it certainly wasn't a - walk in the dealer and drive out the same day - deal. I ordered the car, picked out every little detail. I kinda figured a white car (which I never owned) with a copper interior and silver aluminum trim would look kinda cool. Turns out, it looks perfect. My only complaint...the seats in the 335 (with the optional sport package, which is what I have), are highly bolstered....they're kinda uncomfortable...I'm not the smallest guy, and they dig on the sides a bit. They're great if you're taking a turn at 75 miles an hour...but for casual driving, not the best.

As far as my new truck goes...I'm sorry I still don't have pics yet...it's been raining in NJ the last 2 days...I should have some tomorrow at some point. Of course, every time I look at it, I see something else I want to upgrade...I do this with everything. Now I saw a picture on the home page of the forum tonight...of an SLT....like mine..with the chrome door handles and running boards. I was very close to buying the door handles...but the black on black handles have grown on me...but the chrome running boards look really nice...they're pricey...but nice. I'd really consider doing this upgrade..maybe not right away..but eventually. I may end up doing a bull bar, like I had on my old truck as well. And I have always had the bug shields on all my trucks...not really for looks..but they are effective...
Decisions decisions.

Any good aftermarket (and OEM) sites that you can suggest?
Thanks again!

I promised a few pics...sorry it took so long...and I apologize ahead of time for the (relatively) poor quality...but here you go.
I do have one other question that I'm hoping some Yukon/Tahoe owners can help me out with. I noticed since i got the truck...when it's idling, it isn't completely smooth...particularly if the A/C is turned on...but even when the air isn't turned on, the engine does jump around slightly. You can actually feel it and see it....the tach will jump slightly for a second, and go back down. It probably wouldn't bother me, except for the fact that my previous vehicle was so smooth, you would never know it was running if the lights and radio weren't on.
I was wondering if this was perhaps because the engine is new...breaking in. Or should I take this in and have these guys look at it. It's like it's running a little rich.

Other than that, the truck has been a lot of fun, and I'm getting a lot of compliments....so I'm very happy one week in.

Here's those pics....

Welcome on Todd!
Do you have a desire to be on the "I Survived....Beyond and Back" show due to not wearing your seat belt?
I'm joking. Just trying to bust your chops.

Nice Yukon. Do you mind me asking how much it was out the door?
Also, the idling issue you are feeling could be due to a weak battery or activation of your e-fans.
Those two things can cause brief electrical system strain that will change the idle. I doubt its mechanical since it was brand new.
