thanks to you guys, i picked up an allen wrench set on way home and performed the adjustment myself. it took a good amount of turns and was non-linear in the way that it went up and down, but eventually got there :head3:

they're probably a bit higher than oem but not high enuff to blind a sedan on level ground. i want to be respectful! safety first.

Yeah the height can be adjusted, and as you drive you'll get a feel of if it's too high or too low and you might find yourself adjusting it to find the perfect compromise tween performance and courtesy.

No what is really impressive is the horizontal rotation. Most of the time, once the low beams are at the right height, they won't be completely straight relative to each other and the ground. It doesn't really affect the output and its a natural consequence of not having the truck there in person for the retrofitter to rotate them precisely to the specific vehicle. But yours don't suffer this fate ... it's a good thing. :)

All is not perfect.

I noticed some condensation last night. :(

I've been exchanging emails with performanceautosolutions letting them know of what's going on with same pic. I went back down to check the headlights about 30-45 minutes later and the fog was gone.

They tell me:

-Continue to keep an eye out for it

-They'll cover all labor and materials to fix it and shipping back to them, though not clear if they'd cover shipping back to me. I estimate it's about $80 ground each way and since it's across the country, about 2 weeks worth in a semi which sucks. On top of that, it cost me $360 at the local Chevy dealership to swap these in so swapping them out and back in is another $700 burned for a grand total of over $2000 to get a set that may still get foggy! $#@%^&! aftermarket

-They state that "on some setups a small amount of fog can initially occur during the heat or air exchange (it's basically a greenhouse effect) that should dissipate and disappear. If it persists or gets worse, there may be an issue with the seal."

Performanceautosolutions.com guys remain highly responsive to my emails and to be fair, I've seen fogging like this on my OEM set on the Tahoe and my other cars on rainy, humid days. The difference is that those headlights are OEM and backed by the manufacturer so I never bothered as it went away and no water formed in the headlights. With aftermarket units, even if you do have an upstanding vendor, you still have to make sure to add up what's being sucked out of your wallet. People rarely get into the weeds as they all typically want to make sure to look better than they really are. Not I. I keep it real.

It's been in the 30s-40s here. I'm not sure I liked their tone or written response style to my emails, but that's par for course for these small business guys based on my experience. They get really defensive instead of focusing on taking away the pain that the customer is going through. As if I desire to bother them with this issue in the first place when in fact if their product worked without any issues, I'm a happy seller on their behalf for free! Ain't no Nordstrom/McKinsey service here, but then I do have an MBA which might make me the weirdo. :D

Not sure what to expect. I'll just keep an eye on it and give you guys full transparency!

Edit: Update - They'll pay for shipping back to them and returned back to me

Not sure if this will help or not but I had a similar issue with my retros from BFC/Performance Auto. I had a little condensation like what is shown in your picture. I figured the seal was bad...however, that was one time several months ago. Since then, I've been through rain, snow, ice, and hot weather with absolutely no problems. Give it another week or two but I bet it'll clear up...

Good luck and let us know.

Good to know, Rocky, thank you! I'm crossing my fingers. It's not a good look for us car-crazed dudes.

And don't even think of driving with your toes crossed.
