I am thinking about changing the battery. But how come the battery got four terminals???
I have never seen this on a carbattery before.
Can I change this battery with an ordinary one with two terminals?

Btw, has anybody installed an extra battery on their Hoe? Would a need a new and bigger alternator?

Is the standard AcDelco battery that comes with the truck a AGM, GEL og WET battery?

Gel is good for extreeme hot or extreme cold and normal so I would get one if it were me. Did u get why it has 4 posts? And the correct name is side posts and top posts. I preffer top post because its easier to swap batteries than side post

Your truck uses a group 78 lead acid wet cell battery. The ones with 4 terminals (2-side 2-top) are so that group can double for others...like a group 24. It's not bad to have...side posts batts are not so fun to jump so the top posts are handy. Not necessary though.

Sears gold & platinum are good batteries. Both internally should be the same but the warranty is longer on the platinum. If you're an AAA member you can get their batteries. New, US made, same warranty, same technology, & free install & recycling. Interstate is good as well but stock rotation is iffy as they don't date code the manufacturing date on their batts like most places do.

My interstate battery I bought a while back has dual connection posts, I wanted it that way so I could jump start a car easier if I needed too, plus if I wanted to wire something else up I could just use the top connectors for that!! More versatility!!
