View attachment 56644 I finally got the drilled and slotted rotors. I got F1 euro rotors that are made here in Canada. from what I was told they are the sister company to R1. Either way they are zinc coated and slotted and drilled. Strength tested and two year unconditional warranty. I would have liked to get the R1 brakes but the dollar sucks way to much and I needed them badly. The brakes are still breaking in but WOW what a difference, I also bleed the brakes just to move the fluid and get fresh stuff to the calipers.

Pictures will follow when I can figure out how to do it.
Those are sweet! Today I noticed that the wear indicator started scraping into the rear rotor. I stopped by NAPA and got OEM pads and two new rotors. 52 bucks each on the rotors and 54 on the pads. Look like I'm doing brakes tomorrow. Lol.

Pretty cheap if you change your own.
Yeah but he got some high end rotors there. Nothing wrong with that. The zinc coating means he'll probably never see rust anywhere on it. It's a nice investment on a nice truck. My tahoe is not quite elegant enough to justify the higher end parts, lol.

ALways worth spending a few extra bucks on quality brakes.

Yup, agreed. I went with the NAPA premium OEM pads and rotors. I've been using that line on all of my vehicles for years and have never been disappointed (or not able to stop....lol).

I was tired of the rust issues we get here, I spent $800 on dealer replacement parts and rotors two years ago (which I thought would last like what came originally) and they rusted like they were ten years old!!!! ,then after they rust it kills the pads and extremely poor breaking.
I did all the work myself. Sand blasted the rust off the sliders under where the pad slider sits. lube up the sliders where the I sand blasted. the pad set came with new sliders, I lubed up everything real good.(calliper pins also)
I did do a good amount of research to get the best brakes I could for the money. It wasn't easy as not much is made in Canada, Quit a few are made in the states and almost everything else comes from CHINA!!!! If the dollar was better I would have bought the R1 stuff.
I used the china crap on a beater car once and got 6 months. What a waste to make it and ship it all that way and garbage in 6 months!!!!!!!!!:favorites68::favorites68::favorites68::favorites68::wtf:
I still can't get the pictures up. SORRY

Nice! Looks pretty much like the R1's I'm running on my burb for a couple of years now. They definitely stop better than OEM in my opinion :)
