Hello everyone,
Just thought I would say hello and drop a line.

Just brought home an 04 denali. Original owner, 198k so lots of miles. Kinda figured the price was right so I would just bring it home and fix her up and breath some new life into it. Had the usual service stability control and tire pressure service lights.

Had it since Sunday and have discovered I also have a parasitic draw and after testing discovered the usual icp power suck problem. Guess the brand new battery should have been a flag but hey it's not like you can look at a rig over a 24 hour period lol

So sounds like Monday the cluster will get sent off. Also have a new compressor coming from arnott since the previous owner put in arnott bilstiens all around very recently. Also got heavy duty inner and outer tie rods and pitman and idler arm coming. Just got done servicing the front diff, t-case, trans, and rear diff, as well as a full tune up.

Previous owner had a new trans installed at 150k which I verified with reciepts as well as removal of the pan for servicing. Also got another tpms sensor to go in the right front tire. Once I get it up to par plans are to begin the mods. I sold an 05 cts-v with a Maggie and a tons of mods (470 to the tires) I had done and moved to this. Figured it was time for a new project.

I am an auto tech by trade and worked for a gm dealer and was a dyno operator for years and have done a lot of tuning and building custom cars.

Sorry for the long winded post, just wanted to say high and happy to be a contributing member. Looks like you have a wealth of knowledge here!:)

I'll have to get some pics up of the denali. She's a little rough send the edges and is getting some much needed detailing and paint touch up.

Thanks for the welcoming guys!

Just rebuilt the drivers side mirror today and replaced the key fob cases. Now onto removing the aftermarket alarm..... Hate those things, don't now how many times vehicles have been towed into my shop with no start conditions all because they bought the cheaply alarm.

Talked with the guy that was recommended for rebuilding the board on the instrument cluster and so I plan on sending that off the first part of the week while I rebuild the front steering and realign it.

Gotta retune it soon and firm up those lazy sloppy shifts in the trans. No wonder they burn up lol

welcome!!! being a GM tech you probably know much more then me, but the lux stock amp in these trucks sometimes go bad resulting in a large current draw when off.
