ok guys im getting ready to change the exhaust on my Tahoe. the other day I ran into a guy with Aero Turbine exhaust on a ram, and ill have to admit it sounded bad @$$!! has any one ever had them or heard them on a 5.7 vortec?

well just so every one knows it has a great sound! at idle and normal driving the noise is not overly loud, but if you step on it.... it will make some serious noise. Has a real deep sound
never heard of it.

youtube it. u will be hard pressed to find any good clips of a 5.7 but the 5.3 has a compareable sound

Hahahaha did I just read that right, you claim the 5.3 LS has a comparable exhaust note to an old school 5.7??

Wow, I didn’t realize that comment was going to get you all roweled up… sorry. No the sound is nowhere near the same but most AT exhaust clips are going to be of a dodge and that exhaust note is MUCH deeper. The 5.3 with this set up has a comparable but not the same tone. That is where the similarities end. Upon any hard acceleration the sound will be much different. Hope that clears things up a bit….. BTW I am a LS guy I own a 02 T/A WS6 with a 2.8 kenny bell. I turn my own wrenches and buy my own parts.

YouTube'd it and it does not sound comparable to me as you describe it. In fact on a 2004 5.3 it sounds like it is running on dead cylinders and popping on decel. Personally is sounds like s***. BTW I run a 1996 4x4 I turn my wrenches on my SUV and commercial aircraft. I also design alterations to electrical systems for guys here. I not only buy my parts I search all over the United States for them. Either for someone here or myself I find them. I also discuss OBS models here and not NBS.

umm ok i have no idea how i got u upset as wll sunlet but ok i Apologize for being new this forum (there for I must just not know what im talking about ) and hope that’s ok . I hope I didn’t give anyone any need to run out and buy the s***y exhaust setup I apparently run

And kudos to you Jerry. If it floats your valves great. I just can not stand it. It reaches a level where it just does happen for me. IMO an exhaust should be good that it does not sound like dead cylinders on it but the the popping in it just takes the cake. Can't stand that mess. Spent a lot of money on mine and only think I am closer to where I want it to be. Very close but not perfect. To perfect it I think I need to change a plug tho.
