If your light is on your abs could be actuating into lockup I would suggest you get that check immediately now that you mentioned it. A dealer has the proper tool to read the ABS module and pulling the code should only take a few minutes.

Now that problems kinda worked out I got another. I am having a problem with the rear passenger brake locking up if brake is pushed a hair harder than normal. Back brakes with all hardware were recently replaced brakes were adjusted than adjusted again and again. Still having the problem. Any ideas???

Should start a new thread, but maybe when the new brake shoes were installed, you put the both leading shoes one one side and both trailing on the other side???
I did that once when I was 16 on my 73 Nova SS and it took me a while to figure out.

I dont remember if the shoes are different on the Tahoes, but there is an excellent writeup here. http://www.handymanlyness.com/archives/auto/repair/brakes/GM/96_Yukon_4x4/rear/replace_brake_shoes_96_Yukon.html

On the drums the forward shoes has less lining length to it. The rear facing should have more.
