Hey Y'all

Well I've been looking and looking for another tahoe and finally found a super clean 97 2dr sport. So I paid the 800 dollars and who would have guessed my 2 year old wouldn't leave the truck alone. I mean he was glued to it so I knew I made a great choice (no brained really). OK so maybe not the cleanest needs a bumper grille and hood. And also I want to upgrade the injectors to the ac Delco multi port spider injection rather than the poppet valve injector. This will be an ongoing build so stay tuned new updates will be monthly got to pay bills before parts.

Very cool. My 3 year old is the same way. We got him plastic tools and he helps or works on his jeep as I work on the trucks.

Good project too!

The plan is to get it all cleaned up and get it road worthy. Then the fun starts lift tires wheels ect. Currently I am having an issue with idles good but wont rev up at all no cel. So im going with new injectors and fuel pump for piece of mind. Any body have any pros cons of the multi port conversion ac delco has. Wish I could do it on my 93 vortec blazer.

Update got the injectors cleaned up. Idle is good. Motor wont rev up though. Kinda odd starts fine warm or cold. So I started to replace the fuel pump and my sending unit was rusty so im waiting on a new sending unit. Little guy came out and played a quick game of hide the wrench dad needs lol.
Stay tuned for how the truck runs after the fuel pump replacement. Hopefully this works

There's no better father-son project! My 4 year old loves being in the garage. He's mad if he doesn't get to even help clean up

There's upgrades you can do to the factory tbi- but start by cleaning it out first- makes a big difference if it's all gunked up. Good plugs ( I use e3's) and a cold air intake wake it up abit too. Then there's all sorts of exaust you can do. I've done a few things to mine without deviating too much from stock, and not only does it have more pick up, it's much better on fuel. I'm sellin it now, so that's for the next owner to enjoy. Good luck with it :)
