Hey all, I'm new to this particular forum but have been on Performancetrucks.net for 5 or so years. Last year I picked up a 2004 Tahoe and the performance aspect is mostly ironed out so I've been searching for some other little mods here and there and figured I'd join over here.

Basic specs:

2004 Tahoe 2wd with 241k miles
LQ4 with 862 heads and TSP 212/218 High lift cam
Long tubes with true dual 3" all the way out the back.
AFE Cold air intake to TBSS with 87mm TB
NV4500 5 Speed manual transmission with Hurst short throw

It was swapped in not a factory option. However since Silverados came with an NV3500 all the swap parts are OEM. Here's pics of the Hurst shifter. I can run out and grab pedal pics if you want.

This trans is a beast I have the same one swapped into my RCSB Silverado and its survived a ton of boosted abuse.

That is pretty damn cool. Welcome. LQ4 with 862--raises compression? I had 862 heads on my 4.8, and 317 heads on my LQ4.

Thank you! The body has 240k on it and lived the majority of its life in Texas. judging by the interior it had a rough life the carpet was pretty bad even after shampooing so I put weather techs over it. The exterior was pretty hazy when I got it but I had a pro do a full paint correction/wax and buff. Its got some scratches and dents but overall came out great. Nothing I own can be to nice because I'm rough on things :flamingdevil:

The 862s bump the compression because of the smaller chamber their weakness is typically the small valves however the 862s on my tahoe have ls6 valves and pac 1219 springs. 862s still are not the best for top end flow but its a fat Tahoe so torque was the goal.
