Hello all. Just picked up an 08 Escalade. I am hoping to learn more about the full size platform and decide what headers/intake and other mods I will be purchasing asap ha-ha. I have had lsx cars since 2001 and I am excited to see what this 6.2L can do (while maintaining or improving on gas mileage)...Thanks for the great site!

That's like dating a supermodel expecting her to be cheaper to maintain that the chubby chick that preceded her ... not impossible, but unlikely.

Welcome. :)

hahaha!...Today I got mid 18's mpg totally stock (95 and humid out, a/c full blast), mostly interstate cruise set at 70, stop and go a few times due to an accident and a few stop signs after that. I am hoping headers/intake/tune will get me a solid 20 on the interstate, but time will tell. If nothing else, it will give it more grunt and better sound haha!

when you buy a full size suv like these . its like signing a contract with gas stations . you must commit to the pump . be one with the gas guzzler . thats how i see it :)

With the 6.2 you will pass everything on the road except the gas stations.
