NEW LIGHT Set up on my 98 Yukon!

Well I take a little offense to the ****** remark and all new cars and trucks are coming with clear housings does that make everyone *******? I have clears on mine and the light output is much better hence why all the manufactures have gone to clear,but i guess rednecks dont get that

i bought some clear cut head lights off ebay, and they sucked Hi beams didn't fit in the housing, and lo's were super loose, so i sent them back and they guy gave me tons of shit about it cause i complained about the product being terrible.

how did you attach the OEM base?

It was a bit tough actually. Had to be very careful not to break the aftermarkets. Material isnt all that great.

I removed the OEM headlights from the base. The 2 long bolts and then its attached with 3 plastic square brackets. With a flathead screwdriver, push on the flap to release them from the base and pull as hard as you can.
After youve removed the OEM's from the base and the aftermarket ones. Push the aftermarket headlights on the OEM base brackets and install the 2 long bolts that attach the base, to the adjustment section of the headlight base.
Then bolt on the New Aftermarket lights using those OEM bases.

Wow, I must live waaaay to far north. I've never heard of the word ****** in 36 years. Must be bad though the way you guys are talking. I hope I never know what it means... The closest we ever get to racism up here is, 'what are you, french? eh? take off ya hoser!' and that's talking to our pet moose! ok, fine you got me...not pet moose.. just the pet deer.



Still liking your lights! I think that if you give us a report in a few months to see if they leak or not, I'll grab a set... I like the clear lens look, makes the truck more contemporary. And I think that the black on the inside, it will go good with the black color of my truck. The side markers are also good for me because technically they are still amber(a requirement up here). If they pass the leak test, it'll be all systems go!

Oh and I'll be painting the chrome ring flat black on my set.


And why do all of the sets that I see on Ebay have those three horizontal lines running across them? They suck.

I dont care how he meant it, if he was Mexican/Hispanic/Latino etc.. it wouldnt matter. Its like me saying to a black guy that his Caprice with 36" wheels looks like a ** ride. Thats not cool.

****** refers to being Mexican. I'm not Mexican, I am an American, my family comes from Mexico. Making me Hispanic/Latino etc....

And the chrome ring in the parking lights, I dont see it, or it doesnt stick out enough for me to notice it enough to have to change it. Besides, its not all black inside the housing. The outer lens is clear, and only the top and bottom semi-circle are black. The area surrounding to the left and right of the bulb are chome/clear for light projection.

I think it looks 100 times better than those old yellowed out stock lights.
Illumination is great at night with those Silverstar Ultras. Even the blinkers give off a huge amber light to the street signs.

Jeezus, some people are just way too touchy. I've got a Mexican buddy of mine who called me last week saying that he finally arrived. I asked him WTF he was talking about, and he told me he hired a white gardener named Steve, lol. It just our sense of humor, don't take offense, its just a joke dude.

Well, for extra cheap insurance I put a bead of clear silicone for windshields all along the edges of the headlights and bumper lights. The headlights looked like they had the biggest gaps between the housing and the outside lense cap. So I sealed em up. Took it to the car wash the next day and hit the pressure washer. No water inside, its been raining down here and its very foggy in the mornings. No signs of moisture in the lights.

Cant say for sure if they would've been this way had I not put the silicone. So, I recommend the lights, but id say do the silicone thing I did.[/QUOTE]
