Middle to end of January i was lucky enough to have a sand spreader that was a attached to a plow truck back into the front of my truck, then deny any wrongdoing. after about 2 months of aggrevation, meetings, phone calls and emails, i was basically told to go screw and i can pay the deductible on my own.
figured since insurance is footing the bill for a new front end paint job, i ended up getting a new SS bumper for Dirt cheap, Brand new hd hood to replace the one i just bought and had painted in july,5 piece grill that i had powdercoated from one of our vendors at work and had the stock bumper resprayed as well since i wasnt sure if i'd like the SS bumper.
it also warmed up enough to finish up my rear suspension i got from Tony and my new cluster from Nathanjax.

now i just need to re-do my stereo and i can stop screwing around with this POS for a bit

first few pics are of damage, most of the hit was shown in the form of a 3ft gash across my hood, a cracked grillshell, pushed in passenger fender, lower bumper being pushed down and the low/high beam housing and the DRL housing getting cracked.

looks good, but to be honest, i think i like the old bumper a little better...i think its just because u have the Z71 and the rocker panel cladding is still there on everythign else, as well as the matching trim on the rear bumper....kinda like the front is "too red" or something now... but thats just because i stared at your signature pic and current ones...probally no one else would put that much thought into it...

i like it.. looks good, but since your bumper/valance from the z71 is gone (that was unpainted gray in color) and is now a color matched SS bumper, the un-painted gray along the running boards and the the rear bumper doesn't flow as much as it used to. The front end is looking nice. Also, have you considered an esky roof rack? I agree the look of no rack is sleek but man yours would really look sick with an esky roof rack. overall its a nice upgrade, and you HAD to get it fixed anyways, RIGHT? :)

To be completely honest, I have to agree; too much red...which is why I had my stock front bumper repainted too since I wasn't overly excited for the ss one but ran into a deal that was too good to not give it a try. I'm already sorta planning on having the plastic cladding around the side steps, rear bumper plastics and z71 front valence painted a dark charcoal along with the ss air ducts sections just cause I don't like having to make up my mind.
I'll give it a few weeks and see how I feel about it but as it stands now , I don't see the ss one having a very long life on my truck

I do like the new stance though, that's staying

+1 on the stance i agree...

The SS bumper itself is sick but yea I like your idea about painting all the plastic cladding.. maybe the border of the fog light inserts on the SS bumper along with all the plastic cladding around the vehicle would look good in a painted gloss black with a good clear coat... ? maybe a Photoshop guru can show us? :Handshake:
