Well this 98 I bought has a blown head gasket. Well if I replace it it may work for a bit the motor has 200 thousand plus on it so any ideas besides a used to I was thinking jasper engines cause I'm about 33 miles from jasper Indiana which they have mine Thier but I'd rather explore other options any ides ?

I was in the exact same boat about a month and a half ago, after I got the heads off I checked the cylinder walls. After seeing that there was virtually no lip on the cylinder walls and no scarring or grooves and saw that I could still see cross-hatching I decided to hold off. I've got 222,000 miles on mine and after putting on the new heads she drives great, no smoking and very little oil use.

I was going to suggest inspecting the shortblock before replacing, but given what your signature says, you should probably just buy an engine. Jasper is a reputable source.
