Well I've been trying to chase down the miss I have. Only misses at 65-70 MPH and if pulling the boat at 40-50 MPH if I feather the throttle it doesn't seem to happen so maybe dealing with pump or injector issues?

fyi. there was a tsb on sticking valves in the guide but if many miles on it ignore. get a misfire history to narrow down the cylinders acting up. always available data from the pcm.

OK Sun thanks. Need to get a detailed rundown I guess. Just have a small code reader have to look and see what it does.

get a local shop source that can read it. auto zone can not.

As previously stated, most likely the distributor got bumped (loose clamp/bolt) out of timing. I had a random multiple misfire situation about a year ago.... problem was due to a worn distributor gear. I replaced the whole distributor, cap, and rotor setup. Even though I dropped the new distributor in the right place (gear wise), I had to use a professional scan tool (that could read the cam retard) to get the timing straightened out and the CEL to go away for good.
