So I sold my Duramax and bought an 07 Denali. The Duramax was straight piped from the turbo back but I don't want the Denali nearly as loud. I really like the Corsa Sport system, but I cannot justify $1000 for an exhaust. I am am contemplating the MBRP system ($400-$500) and I just would like to know if anyone experiences a lot of drone at cruising speeds. I want it to be loud when I get on it, but pretty mellow cruising.

My next question is regarding intakes. What is the "favorite" intake of members here for the 6.2 motor? Are they all the same, and just pick a brand, or is there an optimal performing intake for a reasonable price? I had an intake on my 05 Denali and it really sounded nice, hoping for the same results here; the stock intake tube looks restrictive.

My final question pertains to tuning. I already know everyone will say Blackbear. Does anyone have experience with the "Traditional Tune" on the 6.2? I know the autoclave and in-person tunes are ideal, but I think a traditional will fit the bill for now. Also, has anyone noted fuel mileage gains with these mods? I know it will be tempting to stomp it!

Thanks for the help and I look forward to modding my Denali!

Airaid Intake Jr is def most popular intake tube. BBP did some testing and it had the best results. I have had it on two past vehicles and it definitely helps when you step on it. I have also had the BB tune (in-person) on my 08 5.3 tahoe and (autocal) on my 07 6.2 escalade. In person is most ideal but if you can't make one of their locations they travel to then go with the autocal. Also, no mpg gains at all for me, stayed around the same. If there were any, it was minimal and not noticeable.

We ran an MBRP on our 6.2L Silverado, and it had a really nice tone. Once we installed headers, the noise was unbearable and we switched back to stock exhaust. I would recommend it is you are not adding FI or headers.

I want to add headers. I want the truck to sound good but not unbearable on road trips. I'm thinking the slp resonator delete with dual tips might be ideal. What are the prices for 6.2 tuning, I was confused on your site.

Did you get the tube and the drop in filter, or is the filter not necessary? Good quality intake tube? No problems? I had a specter on my 6.0, but nothing cheao in this denali lol

So I can't get a presumed ecm for the 6.2, or is it not gonna be as good? There locations aren't even close unfortunatley.

How is the truck with the tune and air raid compared to stock?

Thanks man

I have a Corsa Touring on my 13 Denali XL, so I am used to a very light rumble (even with the supercharger). I was not impressed with how the Silverado sounded with the exhaust/header combo.

To get both the ECM and TCM tuned, you will need to go with the AutoCal (as the TCM is located within the transmission).

Yeah I don't need this to be loud like my straight piped diesel was. Im more after the dual tip look with like 5% more sound. I feel like the catbacks (other than Corsa) will drone.

What are the prices for the Autocal tuning? what differences do you feel in the truck, and what are the power gains? I understand mileage is going to be marginal at best.

I had a Magnaflow catback on my 04 Tahoe, was great until the cam/headers/blower, then the drone was just deafening.

The AutoCal is $599 and includes tuning for one vehicle. The gains will vary (based on driver, mods, gas quality and octane) between 20-30HP and 1-2MPGs. The biggest difference you feel is the cleaner shifting.

Would a good way to describe stock shift patterns be "laggy"? Why does the escalade have more hp than the denali? Can this power be unlocked in your efi live tuning?

I would like to do a cam and blower some day but I'd like to pay it off first.

I think I'll do the resonator delete, the stock exhaust seems to have pretty sufficient flow.

I would say the stock shift patterns are sloppy. The Escalade has more due to the stock tuning. Same engine.
