New trailing arm = popping noise?

Well I finally had a chance to crawl under it again last night and found that the lower ball joints really need replaced. Could this be the culprit?

I plan on getting them online ($100 cheaper) and replacing them since they need it and hope it helps with the noise.

i too am now having a popping noise on bumps and take off, just after i installed the rear hardware kit.. seems to be pretty common.
