just picked up a 03 tahoe z71 that had some existing issues in trying to sort out.
First is battery light flashing in cluster and getting the battery not charging warning. Truck had new battery and alternator put in before I bought it. The alternator IS charging, getting 14+ volts at battery with meter and cluster gauge is reading 14+ as well. Took the 3 wire connector off alternator and closed metal contacts up a bit with no help. Also took the power wire off and cleaned connection and ohmed alt to engine, alt to negative on battery and battery to firewall ground. All were zero. Checked inside red plastic box from fusible link wire all looked good.
Second issue is a service airbag flashing.
Last is the mirror display with "compass" and ambient temp display. When the truck is started and works and displays clearly then after a short period goes blank.
Any help in the right direction is appreciated..
