But i did do a quick search first but it didn't or "I" couldn't find the answers i needed. I picked up a 2013 Tahoe today and can't for the life of me get the AC to turn on. I push the button and get 3 flashing lights and off it goes no cold air just 60 degree fan blowing!!! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Next question i have is what kind of harness do i need to keep all steering controls and maybe even the controls for the buttons on rear of the center console? Radio wise? I have the basic xm radio i want to add a aftermarket DVD/NAV system. Trying to find a harness is this the one ?

maddawg,

To turn the air conditioning on:

Press the "snowflake" button to turn the air conditioning compressor on and off. An indicator light comes on to show that the air conditioning is on.

If this button is pressed when the air conditioning compressor is unavailable, the indicator flashes three times and then turns off. If the air conditioning is on and the outside temperature drops below a temperature which is too cool for air conditioning to be effective, the air conditioning light turns off to show that the air conditioning mode has been canceled.

In addition, if the engine coolant becomes hotter than normal operating temperature, the air conditioning will turn off.

To avoid added strain on a hot engine, the air conditioning compressor automatically turns off. When the coolant temperature returns to normal, the air conditioning compressor turns back on.

Also, be sure that none of the sensors are being blocked.

The solar sensor, located in the defrost grille in the middle of the instrument panel, monitors the solar heat. Do not cover the solar sensor or the system may not work properly.

The interior temperature sensors located in the headliner above the driver side seat and if equipped, in the headliner above the second row seats measure the temperature of the air inside the vehicle.

There is also an exterior temperature sensor located behind the front grille. This sensor reads the outside air temperature and helps maintain the temperature inside the vehicle. Any cover on the front of the vehicle could cause a false reading in the displayed temperature.

The climate control system uses the information from these sensors to maintain your comfort setting by adjusting the outlet temperature, fan speed, and the air delivery mode. The system may also supply cooler air to the side of the vehicle facing the sun. The recirculation mode will also be used as needed to maintain cool outlet temperatures.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

The problem with the A/C was they didn't have any Freon in my HOE!!! I picked it from the back of the dealership straight off the shipping truck. They stated that they had just did the inspection. It was a cold day so i will give them the benefit of the doubt. I do like the priority they put on me when i showed up. So that was a plus especially when you spend 50k
