Hello, new to the forum and it seems as though I must post the ubiquitous thread regarding wheels, offset and opinion. It seems to be a rite of passage for a newbie such as myself.

Therefore, I am interested in the Boss 330, U2 55's, and the Velocity's pictured below. My primary question is whether or not the Velocity wheels will stick out with an offset of +30? They do not offer a +35 in the 22 X 9.5. (Is my assumption correct that an offset of 35 takes you flush with the fenders on 22 X 9.5? And if I am incorrect, please correct me.)

My Tahoe is an 08 White Diamond currently with stock 20"s.

Also, what do you think of these wheels? Are velocity wheels a quality wheel? I am afraid you get what you pay for... They appear to be on the less expensive side.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide.

Regards,
Frankyrocco

You would be fine with a +30 on the Velocity. Although I must say, I am personally not a fan of those Velocity's. The Boss 330 is the best looking of the three for a 22" rim. The U2's are pretty cool but look better in a 24" or 26". As far as the budget minded wheels go, people seem to have pretty good luck with Boss from what I have heard. Also, a white diamond would look very nice with the Boss 330's in chrome of in the silver with a polished lip.

Thank you very much for the quick response and your opinion. I will look into the Boss more thoroughly. I do like them a lot, but was trying to find something less familiar. Do you have a recommendation outside of the three I listed that I should take into consideration? I like the clean look of the wheels I listed, in a 6 to 9 spoke configuration. Thanks again - Frankyrocco

Opening up a pretty big can of worms with wheel suggestions. Most important is to set your price range and go from there to find something that suits your tastes. Everyone has different opinions on what wheels look good. It all comes down to how much money you want to spend.

I do recommend ordering your wheels online. You can save hundreds of dollars ordering them from eBay or other online dealers. Another great place to get tires for cheap is

What Conor said is right, i'm not the biggest fan of your wheel list but I would go with the Boss 330 wheels like he said.
Also as long as you get like a 285 or 275 series tire, with a wheel 8.5" wide (normal 22" wheel width) then you will tuck your fenders with a 30mm offset, or atleast break dead even.

I guess it is kind of difficult asking for an answer to such a subjective question. Thanks Modded, 8.5 is the standard width on a 22?

Yeah its standard on most 22" wheels that are meant for SUVs.
Kind of how a 10" width is pretty much standard with 24" wheels.
But there are always exceptions, so still make sure of what you are getting.

Conor and Modded are right on. I would say not to worry too much amongst these brands they are all decent for the price and if you are like most of us on this forum the 22's will only last a bit and then you'll be looking for 24/26's ;). Unless you can find a cool wheel with a lipless design that is under 1200 per wheel, the dish just makes the wheel look small with the gap on this body style.
