Im about to order new plugs for my 01 tahoe 5.3.

I searched posts re NGK plugs but whats the difference between the NGK tr5(part #2238) and tr55(part#3951)?

advance lists tr5s for my truck.

summit lists tr55s for my truck.

i just walked into o'reilys and asked for .040 gapped ngk's

Check the gaps....30% of the time they are off!

no shit.... this is a helpfully piece of info because when i bought my hoe i picked up the 55's and gapped em myself to .040...

My 55's were all gapped correctly. In fact, the manufacturer says not to try and re-gap them as you can damage the tiny center electrode. And I'm pretty sure they came .040
