Anyone looking for a TCU (transmission control unit)?

This control runs circles around any shift kit on the market.

I spotted a (new in box) unit on ebay. Search under “TCI TCU”

It’s the complete kit.

I have been using these controllers for years. It can do either the 4L60e or the 4L80e.

It also has the ability to do the “paddle shifters”.

They are asking $429.99

Retail on these is around $700 right now.

Just thought I would mention it in case there is interest.

The TCU is a separate computer that controls the 4L60e or 4L80e trans.

It comes with a program for your laptop to set the parameters of the trans.

You answer the questions in the setup as far as gear ratios, tire size, etc and then set the speeds you want each gear to shift at and so on.

It allows total control over your trans.

For those guys that have added lots of power in the engine department, it will make your trans last a lot longer. You dial the shift pressure to when you actually need it.

You have control over wide open throttle shift points. Just set the rpm’s that you want each gear to shift out at and that’s it.

When you are on a dyno, you can set up third gear so it won’t downshift when they floor it. You can also make changes to the trans on the fly. The list goes on and on.

For those that understand what the ECM is actually controlling in the trans, it is worthwhile to be able to program those things easily.

It’s just another way of doing things. Like port injection, versus throttle body. Everyone has their preference. :)
