I have a 2006 Tahoe with 111,000miles and a zw7 Nivomat suspension. ( bought it new)
What is the verdict do I take it out and re spring it or buy new Nivomat shocks?
I tow ocasionally and I don't want to end up adding air bags after I change the springs.
Is any one keeping the system inplace?

You can buy new Nivomat shocks from RockAuto for about $243 a piece. You can also replace them with Bilstein shocks for $150/pair and some Bilstein springs for $99.

Thanks For the Rock auto tip.

I see alot of people replaceing the springs and using other shocks. The question is does any one keep the system?
If I end up using replacement springs and shocks, will I end up needing air bags to tow? Buying air bags would make the cost a wash. I wouldn't mind a little better handling, But I don't want it to ride like a brick wagon.

No, you wouldn't necessarily need airbags to tow. It will probably sag down in the back a little though. I think you can get airbags for pretty cheap, especially if you install them yourself.
