No idea what this is

Ok so digging around under the dash I cam across this strange chip that when out just disables the start on part on the ignition. It attaches to the Yellow wire which I believe is the "Crank" wire. There are 4 other connections. 2 going to the same ground post, another 1 the red wire is going to to this orange wire near the obdII port. the crank wire is cut and is being fed into a relay as well.

The chip itself is very small and has just 4 contacts if I recall. I will try and get a picture of it tonight when I have some time but I don't have a picture of the actual thing that is mounted on the underside of the dash as well as a crappy pic of the relay.

1996 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L, it does have a trailer braking system as well.

it is either a fake key card reader or one that has been disabled. you would stick a key of sorts in it to enable the starter circuit. if it starts regardless leave it alone or remove it.

Alright, ill get some more pics tonight so you all can see a bit more. I don't mind leaving it will probably tuck the wires up a bit better

It could be a low jack installed by a buy here pay here place. They install those so they can disable a vehicle if a customer doesn't make their payment and locate it to repo it.
