1997 2 door tahoe, 100% factory stock with cd/radio.
Radio powers up, lights work, bands and channels change but no sound comes out for about 10 minutes then everything is perfect for rest of day.
Is this just a radio going bad or is there an amp somewhere that could be going bad as well? If so where is it and how do I test it?
Thanks

Yes its a stock head unit.
I do believe its a cold/fractured/intermittent solder joint that once heated up expands just enough to work. Then it cools/contracts and no worky.

Does a 2 door have an amp? Located where?
Thanks
