I just bought an '07 LTZ. I want to free up what ever HP I can and maybe some MPG's. I was thinkn ( as i have done on every car I've owned) CAI and exhaust. The forums members highly recommend the Magnaflow 12589. My next question was your thoughts on K&N filtercharger kit. Once those are installed, I was going for a BB Tune. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Blackbear Performance did a test on NNBS intakes and the Airaid Jr. kit did the best. Exhaust is ONLY for sound, not for MPG or performance gains. That muffler is the same muffle I have. Big muffler so best quietest sound, but still a good rumble

Thanks for the input. If I can squeeze a lil MPG's out of it and have a nice sound, then I will be happy for now. If I cross paths with Jenna down the road, get them to do a tune, (if needed).

Once you put on the airaid jr and exhaust your gonna kinda need a tune... With the change in air/fuel ratio, the engine reacts to it... It may lag a little or bog due to this change... I am saving up for a tune as we speak!!!

I have a '08 LTZ, with the magnaflow exhaust and afraid jr, you do need to get the bbtune to compliment everything together. After the bbtune I saw a little increase mpg, truck has a better drive, responds better. exhaust and afraid jr mix give the truck a nice rumble

Keep in mind, exhausts offer little to no performance gains (but some can hinder them). When choosing an exhaust, go for what is best for your wallet, as well as what look/sound you like.

I want a nice little rumble. I had a local shop put a Magnaflow on my '02. Not sure what model. What I liked about it most was at a constant speed, (not under acceleration) it was very quiet. But as soon as I hit that skinny pedal, you could def hear it. Made for a good cruiser exhaust because I usually get a lot of windshield time.
