I say drop it on 20s w/ the 6.0 but that's just me. I'm keeping an eye out for something similar, might even trade the Yukon for it.

well that was the plan, but i kind of want something i can take hunting and shit..it will prolly get a 6.0 no matter what..also im doing stock flares on it for now because the box is rusted over the wheels, so that will cover it up after i cut the rust out. Eventually when I get a new box and get it painted I may drop it down, we will have to see what happens

Little update. Final plans are a 4/6 with completely new suspension, built 6.0 and 4l80e. Truck should be a fun cruiser, high 12s in the quarter for now. Not sure what im doing for wheels, either some stock 20s or some TBSS 20s. Need to decide on color before i choose a rim if not going stock

Parts showed up today

Moog front end parts -tie rods, pitman, idler, idler bracket, camber kit, sway bar links
Powerstop calipers and d/s rotors,EBC 6000 series Green Stuff pads.. still need to order for the rear, wasnt sure if I was keeping the 10 bolt or not

Drop kit on the way- 4/6 from Tony- DJM upper and lower arms, Belltech SP shocks all around, flip kit and notch

Motor plans- LQ4 with 243 heads, 23x/23x cam, injectors, lifters etc..headers into a magnaflow with a 3" cutout
4l80e swap with a 3600+ converter
Keeping the 10 bolt with a tru-trac..should hold up just fine since most launche will be in 4x4

RCSB's definitely look cool. I prefer lifted over lowered, but it sounds like you're going to do it right.

My father bought a 2000 model with a good body last year as a beater.... unfortunately, he didn't check the frame as well as he thought, and we found that the entire frame was rotted through between the bed and cab. Has me gunshy on getting one as a project

Got the bed off yesterday. Tore all the brake lines off, spare tire, hitch, calipers, rotors and basically everything off the frame. Going to get it cleaned up and some paint on it. Got the t bars unloaded and the keys out, pulling the front end apart tonight. Ordered rotors and calipers for the rear as well, I didn't know if i was keeping this rear end to start, so that stuff is on the way.

Depending when everything comes in, im hoping to have it on the road within 2 weeks. I should have everything painted and cleaned, just waiting on parts to show up and install them. I think i saved about 100 lbs just from rust and dirt falling off the truck lol

I wanted to lift it, but i want something thats fast and handles good. Ill save lifting something for when I get a new daily.

Suprisngly only broke one bolt and that was the one that holds the brake line junction on to the rear end..everything else came off pretty decent. Think i saved 100 lbs from dirt and rust falling off lol..
