Ok. So here it goes.

About a month ago the check engine light came on and it was an o2 sensor replace the one after the cat. Couple weeks later it came back on same thing o2 sensor so i replaced the one before the cat. But at this point I noticed it running like a 3 legged dog so I replaced it. But when i ran the codes a couple more came up. Don't remember the # but it was "system running lean bank 1" and "system running lean bank 2." So i replaced the fuel filter tonight hoping it might have trash in it. Well it is running a little better but not great still a little off. It kinda hesitates to start with when getting on the gas sometimes. What do i need to try next?

While i was replacing the fuel filter i noticed that one of the boots on each of the CV's was split and there was grease everywhere. So now i need to replace them. How do you do that?

first get those codes and post them here for analysis.

Each boot will cost about $25 for kit 2for each axle. If you are willing to take it on I can give you instructions but an easier route is to get a remand whole axle assy about less then $80 a side but it will bolt on with no repairing required. In either case axle must be removed with hand tools and pullers for shaft hub and tie rod. Have that info too if wanted.

Cardone #66-1050 axle fits eitherside. very good company.

Clear your codes and see what comes back after about four driving trips of a few miles each. It is important to know all the codes or code history if you can. In most cases p0171-0174 follow other codes with the exception of fuel pressure. It is not usually a monitored perimiter. It does seem as if your engine is being starved. Can you test your fuel pressure?

you were giving codes so I thought you had a scanner. Sorry. You can disconnect you battery for a minute or so but be prepared to run into anti-theft issues if you have a stock factory stereo inside. but will need a scanner to extract codes again.

Perhaps your local parts store can loan you a scanner or do it for you.
