Your best bet would be to take it to a dealer, sucks but they are the only people that have the propper scanners to reach very deep into your computer. Dont clear the code and bring it to a reputable (if there is such a thing) dealer in your area.
They can diagnose the problem for you so you can focus on the actual problem.
Thats just my 2cents.
Hope you get it squared away.

If you are running lean, look for a vacuum leak after your MAF. You computer controls the Air Fuel Ration (AFR) based on the amount of air coming into the engine (MAF), vacuum and RPM. If the reported incoming air is wrong, you could end up running too rich (less air than measured) or lean (more air than measured).

Recommended places to look are vacuum lines and air intake lines

Well i took it somewhere to get them to look at it. On the way there the light went off. They check for any leaks and it had none. The only thing they found was a fouled plug #5. Had oil on it. So they did a compression test and it was fine. As of now if runs fine.

NEW PROBLEM

coming home from work today truck shifted hard. Thought nothing of it. Well few more miles down the road stopped and started again and it made all sorts of noise. Now it will not shift out of first until you let off the gas second is the same and it will not shift out of third. Bad part is I had the transmission rebuilt 30k miles ago

Thats not good.
I'd get in touch with the shop who rebuilt it. 30k miles and a failure = bad rebuild.
Hopefully they'll help you out and not stiff you.
Good luck, let us know what happens.

once it actually shifts is it slipping? if not you may have a problem in the valve body and not killed it yet. hows the fluid look? clean and full?
