OEM 05+ Radiator Fans (ELECTRIC)

I would recommend OEM fans rather than any after-market fans.

Just call around to salvage yards in your area, ask if they have any efans for 05-06 silverados, sierras, tahoes or yukons. Thats how I got mine for less than $100

thanks ballsie so there is hope..I'm learning how to dumpster dive. I got a guy on Ebay trying to sell me some for $350 lol. I'm going to try calling around. I see a lot of these yards don't advertise. My trans cooler is so big my truck starts to heat up quick in this Texas heat. gotta make this happen soon.

i got 2 16" fans and adjustable controller for 100 shipped, they arre not oem but i think they are better, just a thought, the best price i could find at a wrecker was 250

Well considering I already have the BB tune I figured I'd go for the OEM look. I finally found a set local for $250. now I just need to order the harness and pulley from Blackbear. my alt puts out enough juice, but lags a lil at idle.

ok so im from reading all this i am seeing that there are 3 different size radiators on these trucks.

smaller than 34"
34"
38"

the smaller one takes ls1 fans
34" takes 05-06 tahoe fans
what does the 38" take..thats what mine is..

or did i read this wrong?

i found 38" fans in a 3500 seirra in the wrecker yard but they wanted $250, so i bought twin 16" aftermarket off ebay, and they work great, got the whole set up shipped for $120

i stumbled onto this thread when searching for fans. i tried the perma-cool fans unit but it didn't fit as advertised. can the later model fans be fit to a '96? i know there might be some wiring issues but do the fans fit that radiator?
