RT has the right idea. since it's a denali you can just swap to a round body driving light.

Ok found a picture but its kinda small and crappy. but if you save it to your pc then zoom in you'll see it

Since I'm in Alaska currently, I know what you're talking about, and moose lights is what I'm going for. Even the cop cars up here have them. I was just wondering if you can drill/tap straight into the bumper or not. I may fab a little mounting bar. Many of them look pretty crappy, and I'm trying to keep this clean looking.

Just ordered some HID's for the fogs. We'll see how that does. I may still want the moose lights, I may not, depending on how well they light the road. It was the cheapest starting point, though.

Yeah, I saw that too. I kind of like it, kind of don't. Either way, it's more money then I'm willing to spend on this little project. I doubt the lights that come with it are of the best quality, too.

Not sure I buy that. They might stress the wiring depending on how heavy duty it is, but generally HID's run much cooler then halogen bulbs.

actually 55W are to much, hell even 35W ones melt NNBS fogs, and they are about the size of NBS denali fogs. I really stress against running 55W in your fogs. The enclosed area makes them run super hot.

I'll have to check the material these fogs are constructed from. Honestly haven't even pulled them off before, so I have no idea.

The idea that HID's are super hot is a myth, however. They just aren't. 55w bulbs get about 185 degrees at most. Most halogens run a lot hotter then that. I ran 55w in my Subaru Legacy GT fogs, which are tiny fogs, just fine, no problems in several years of use. If the space/heat were an issue I should have seen it there, or the Subaru housings are much higher quality.

I'll take a good look at the whole thing and see what I think. I have a 55w kit arriving in a couple of days, so I'll know by then what I'm going to do.

Mine's the farthest left one. The third from left also has 55w HID's in the fogs.

I still wouldnt do it, GM fogs are cheap plastic and the reflector is cheap, if you wanna do 55w fogs upgrade to the piaa 510s which are a much better housing.

I may have to. I'll get a heat gun out and see how easily these melt when I get them off.
