Talk to me about the "wireless device charging." I've not heard of this feature. What standard (if any) does it use? Which devices would be supported?

Also, I assume the color options remain the same?

This is the technology as described by Powermat; the vendor providing the equipment to GM: http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/...es/news/us/en/2014/Jul/0728-ats-powermat.html

Pretty cool stuff! Imagine, just get into the Yukon, place the phone on the pad, it's already connected wirelessly via bluetooth...and now it's charging wirelessly also! Great and useful feature. Eliminates the bulky charging cord altogether.

Color options remain the same with the addition of Bronze Alloy color...already available on the Sierra trucks.

It is cool technology. Unless it has changed, though, phones such as the iPhone require a special case that can charge this way. Other phones/devices may be able to use a new back on the case or battery to charge without cables.

Very convenient but super slow. If a regular charger takes1 hr to fully charge your phone these take 4 hours. I suspect the ones for the car are worse. I have one on my night stand so it sits on the pad all night.

I have 5 devices that charge wirelessly at my home and actually in my vehicle via pad - they work just as efficiently as the wired in my experience.

Did the pad come in your car or did you get something to put in your car?

:sorrysign: I now see that's in your original post. Sorry, teething baby at my house and so there's a lot I'm not noticing these days.

I really like the mirrors. I haven't found myself wanting them bigger, I see just fine.
