I paid $1000 under invoice for the 2015i w/ everything on it, and any rebates or incentives when delivered. The dealer months ago presold every in transit 2015 Denali and now has 5 sitting in prominent places on the lot without buyers. They told me that the Cadillac store in experiencing the same thing, which they base on people doing research and being aware on the changes.
I believe it. I'm tired of people thinking that most customers blindly buy vehicles nowadays without some research. I'm a vehicle dealer and sell cars. I never take for granted what the population knows. If I knew nothing about the 2015 GMC Yukon Denali, I would likely at least Google the truck and do some basic research; especially knowing that I'm about to spend $75-$90k on a Denali or Escalade. Well go ahead Google 2015 Denali or Escalade. You don't have to get very far to realize that there is a significant revamp happening next month. Even the most mundane and jaded reader would catch that the transmission have been changed, etc
The same will be true three years from now. Only those buyers will likely have even more knowledge since a 2015 Denali/Escalade search in the future will show pages and pages of reviews and results of the 2015's with updated 8-speed powertrain etc.
This change for the 2015i is even MORE pronounced and obvious on the Escalade. EVERY single 2015i Escalade will have all new logos and badges in over 15 places throughout the truck. One glance at a current Escalade will let even the more jaded enthusiast know that it is an updated model vs. not. At least, from what I gather, the GMCs and Chevys are cosmetically the same pre/post 2015/i
The public is smart. The Internet discloses, and the 2015 vs. 2015i Denali/Escalade resale will be based on overall resultant opinion then.
