So my oil pan gasket is leaking and I’m wondering if anyone has used metal epoxy such as the one below to simply seal the entire seal? I’m thinking of draining the oil and cleaning the area very well before attempting this. Any thoughts of why I shouldn’t try this?
Problem is my shoulder is in rough shape and I’m afraid I won’t be able to get the differential back on. I’m just kind of thinking as more of a temporary solution (would be nice if it fixed it permanently) until I get shoulder surgery or a mechanic can do it.
I haven’t had a chance to look carefully at the leak, but I’ve got my fingers crossed that it’s the oil cooler block off plate gasket! Much easier fix than the other issues!
