Oil Pan Gasket

Last night we replaced the oil pan gasket on my son's 05 Yukon 4x4. That. Absolutely. Sucked.

My son just graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Told him if he ever designed something like that I would throttle him.

Having been a dealership mechanic and maintenance tech, over the years i have worked on things that have come to make me believe that engineers are the dumbest educated people on the planet. I hope this is not the case for your son. Perhaps he will be the one to make a difference.

It’s really about as easy as any 4wd w/ independent front suspension gets. As much fun as you had, you could probably do it 3 times faster than a 4.2 trailblazer / envoy oil pan
