So how much should a shop charge me to replace my oil pan on a 2011 4x4 Tahoe?
They will probably go off of book rate which includes dropping the front differential and cross member as well as lowering the steering rack.

Not sure what that book time is, but if it’s 4 hours at $175-$200/hr ship rate, plus the pan, gasket, oil, taxes and shop supplies, you’ll be in the $1200 range I’m guessing. Others may have better intel on shop time for this.

I would have them replace the o-ring on the oil pickup tube while they have the pan off.

I forgot to mention that I will provide the new OEM oil pan and oil pickup tube :)

I’ve had it done 3x on 2 different trucks. Deff do the oil pump o ring.

If I had to do it again I’d do a new oem oil pump or HD oil pump.

I put up with the oil leak until I had to have the trans pulled for service or replacement though. It cuts the labor to an hour and allows 100% access to all the bolts.

It's about a 2-hour job after you've done several of them. But that's where they make their money... Getting paid off the book time. I'd say dive into yourself. If you could change a water pump, or do your own brakes... The oil pan is no big deal. Do the o-ring, install the aftermarket girdle around the pickup tube flange to utilize both threaded holes on the oil pump.... Instead of the OEM having just one bolt. Small amount of RTV in each corner of the oil pan gasket. This is one area where the felpro oil pan gasket is a lot better than the OEM. Clean your pan out and the oil pick up tube screen.... Show your wife how much money you saved.... And she'll be all in on picking up some more tools for you :)

.... And if you have not deleted the AFM/DOD, replace the pressure relief valve in the oil pan. Those wear out also, and cause a loss of oil pressure.
