While waiting for oil pressure sensor i took old cover off and cleaned everything.
Turns out old sensor had no filter/screen inside, is it missing or some engines didn’t have one??

Your engine doesn't have AFM. Only AFM engines have the screen.
I see! Weird because Dorman part pic had screen on it, but came without screen today lol.

Cleaned around a little, installed new valley cover, sensor and passenger side valve cover gasket with grommets.
Wife won’t let me finish other side with “are you done yet?”, so finishing driver side valve cover tomorrow and putting everything together!

Tomorrow we find if oil pressure changes and what did i forget when putting it back together

Update: put everything back together, let’s see if oil leak stops.

Hot idle didn’t change, however cold and hot driving is now slightly higher.
Think ill consider it “acceptable” based on other posts here and tackle oil pan with pickup tube in the summer, when boat is out of garage:)

New stats:
- Cold idle: 40-45
- Cold driving onto the road: 40-45
- Hot idle at 500-550 rpm: 18-20
- Hot cruising at 1000 rpm: 25-28
- Hot WOT - 40-45 and angry looking people in the city

1st pic - idle in gear
2nd pic - idle in parking
3rd pic - cruising at 1000rpm

Nice work! Where exactly was/is your oil leak? I am trying to pin point mine as well and wondering if it is the VLOM area and hoping it’s not the oil pan gasket or rear main.

For additional reference, my pressure on my 2011 6.2 is around 50-55 cold start, 37-44 cursing around and 20-25 hot idle.

Still unsure, i think vlom plate!

P.S Anyone reading, when i changed my oil filter to PF48 from acdelco aka original intended, my oil pressure almost doubled to exactly same oil stats in post quoted, wow!

I previously had FRAM TG10060 on which is supposed to be superb filter, but looks like it was either bad or had crap oil flow

Fram is SHIT.... Repeat: Fram is Shit
without DOD/AFM you just have a valley plate.. Not a VLOM plate

Fram TG filters are 99% efficient @20 microns. Not many filters can say that.

It doesn't matter, the quality is TRASH. If I offered you a 1000hp car that broke every week vs. a 500hp car that broke twice a year, which would you pick?

My vehicles for many yrs have gotten nothing but Fram Ultra and/or Titanium filters. Both are arguably the best filters made. I do used oil analysis. I post the results here. I cut open the filters and post here. Never an issue.
