2013 Denali with 168,000 miles. Changed oil pick up o-ring at 155,000. Have had no oil pressure problems since. This morning the oil pressure wanting came on and I had 10lbs pressure. No oil leaks or low oil. Where is the oil pressure sensor and how do I test it?

behind the intake. most pull the intake to get to it. it can be down without it thou.

as for which one.. used to recommend only oem gm from like a dealer or rock auto. never Amazon or ebay. but now days even the oem ones fail. friend of mine went thru 3 in a short time. 2 definitely oem, 1 was Amazon acdelco that was probably fake. he gave up, bought the cheapest at the local auto parts store. he's like if I'm going to have to do the work, may as well be able to return it. the no name hasn't failed on him last I heard.

good luck. hope it's just a sensor.

Here's an oldie but goodie from Eric O, who has a few tips on changing and testing. Be sure to replace the screen below the sensor if you have an AFM engine.

It haven’t thrower a code so I’m holding off on changing it for now. I would think if the sensor was bad it would show a code.

Its not throwing a code. Should probably just get it towed home and change the sensor. Cheaper than taking it to a shop.
