Oil Pressure PID for Torque Pro

For users of Torque Pro, I was able to find the (hidden) PID for Oil Pressure. This works on my 2005 Yukon XL using. I think they changed the PIDs in 2006 as the standard GM PID provided in the extended PIDs in Torque does NOT work on my 2005. You'll need to go to Settings-Manage extra PIDs/Sensors-...-Add custom PID to enter the following values

PID: 22115c
Long Name: Oil Pressure PID
Short Name: Oil Pressure
Minimum Value: 0
Maximum Value: 100
Scale: x1
Unit: psi
Equation: (A*0.65)-17.5
OBD Header: Auto

I cannot take credit for figuring this out. I poached it off the LS1GTO forums (user GTOzilla)

I have confirmed this matches the dash gauge closely, but don't have a ScanGaugse or other tool to validate this.

I'm trying to get the oil pressure reading on my 05 Denali using the free version of torque. I followed your instructions but all I'm getting is no data. Any other info to help me out?

Has anyone found the proper PID's for GM oil pressure yet,....seems the one posted above does not work, and internet searches are providing nil.

I haven't got it working either, and I suspect this is because we all are using cheap Chinese clones for OBD2 reading. I am going to buy OBDLink MX and try the same trick and see if that helps. It's $75, but I'll call it a sacrifice in the interest of science.

It worked for me just now on my 2004 Silverado.
I have the BAFX Bluetooth module and using Torque Pro on a Galaxy S4.
I entered the data exactly as it is in the original post, even the capitalization.
For the OBD Header I typed in the word Auto with no quote or anything around it. Maybe capitalization matters? No idea.
