I have done analysis on two personal vehicles to get a benchmark for the oil im using and the change interval.
Amsoil XL at 15000- 18000 km on a 2.4L Malibu and a 5.3 Tahoe.
Using the prepaid kit from Amsoil and an independent lab. Results are good even at the 18000 Km mark.
Very satisfied.

That’s great news.

Personally, I just can’t get myself to go that long between changes. I know a number of guys here do that, but I can’t get myself to do it. I freak out if go past 6000 miles/10000km. The $40-$50 in the cost of oil and a filter I might save doesn’t do it for me.

An oil and filter change with Amsoil will cost much more than that, lol

Yeah. I’ll stick with my Valvoline Full Synthetic. Just picked up a couple 5 qt jugs for $21 today on a Black Friday deal at the local Farm and Fleet. Had a limit of 2 or I would have gotten more.

My 2001 has had Mobil 1 full synthetic since it's first oil change and currently has a bit over 230k on it. It gets changed at 5k miles. I buy the 5qt jugs at Walmart for about $23-25.

I don't know how much more beneficial running Amsoil would've been, besides lightening my wallet... Lol

I run the ACDelco Dexos oil in the 2012, because I got that 6 gallon box for like $70 when it was on sale last year

Same here regarding Mobil 1 Full Synthetic (high mileage). Oil changes every 3k and am at 380k on the 02’ and close to hitting 100k on the 11’ De-kon Yunali.

If never tried the ACDelco like mentioned in an earlier post, if it were readily available and a decent price it might be worth it.
